By focusing on behaviour change and lifestyle modifications, allied health professionals and nurses play crucial roles in promoting preventive measures, identifying risk factors, and providing early interventions to prevent the onset or progression of chronic diseases.

When these interventions are integrated, they enable a comprehensive management of chronic diseases, addressing both medical and lifestyle aspects, in collaboration with healthcare professionals such as doctors or nurses. This approach aims to improve clients' quality of life and promote healthy ageing in Singapore.

This course utilises interactive lectures, discussions, and self-study activities, offering occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses opportunities to test, trial, and critically evaluate strategies and approaches both during and between sessions.
