One of the roles of an Occupational Therapist is to incorporate X-ray findings into problem identification, intervention goals, and plans to improve clients' occupational performance.

X-ray findings can also be used to recommend appropriate orthoses in consultation with the referring consultant. It is critical for occupational therapists to explain plain film radiography results to clients and/or their caregivers to empower and facilitate their compliance with prescribed interventions.

This post-basic course is designed to develop knowledge and competencies in integrating plain film radiography findings in the upper limbs into safe and effective clinical practice by an occupational therapist. The speakers will present concepts and skills for X-ray image interpretation of the upper limb under normal and different disease conditions.

This course also critically appraises the appropriate strategies to facilitate clients' occupational performance based on image findings, goals, and treatment plans. Participants who complete this course will be more confident in educating patients about plain film radiography results.
