Biography

Dr. Zhang Zhengchen received his Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore in 2013. After completing his doctorate, he worked at the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*Star) in Singapore for five years. In July 2018, Dr. Zhang joined JD AI Research, where he became the head of the Text-to-Speech (TTS) team in June 2019. From July 2023 to December 2023, he served as the Director of the Algorithm Research Department at DeepScience.cn in Beijing, China. In June 2024, Dr. Zhang joined the Singapore Institute of Technology (SiT) as an Associate Professor. His research interests include Speech Synthesis, Digital Avatars, and Natural Language Processing. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers in these areas.
