Biography

Kian Ann NG (M’06-SM’18) received the B.E. degree in electrical and electronic engineering and the M.E. degree in IC design from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. He received his PhD from the National University of Singapore in 2015. From 2000 to 2009, he has held senior technical positions with the following companies: STMicroelectronics, Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing and Oxford Semiconductors. He has designed EEG/ECG mixed-signal front ends, switched-capacitor circuits, RF identification circuits, image sensors, ESD/IO circuits, USB(1.0 to 3.0) SERDES and Firewire SERDES, IEC60601-compliant devices. From 2010 to 2020, he was a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. He has authored and co-authored more than 30 technical articles and holds 6 US patents.  From 2020 to  2024, he was an assistant professor at the DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore.

Kian Ann is a senior member of the IEEE and an active committee member of IEEE Solid-State circuits Society (Singapore Chapter) with the following IEEE appointments:

January 2023 - 2024 : Vice-Chair of IEEE SSCS Singapore Chapter (SC37)

January 2022 - 2023 : Treasurer of IEEE SSCS Singapore Chapter (SC37)

September 2024 : Treasurer, Local Arrangement Chair, and Technical Program Committee member for the International Conference on IC Design and Technology (ICICDT 2024)
