Nurturing Tomorrow's Talents
New scholarships made possible by the CBJ Foundation and the Tseng Family Foundation through The Community Foundation of Singapore will nurture young talents in ICT and Health & Social Sciences respectively
In March 2021, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) played host to some very special guests for an appreciation lunch. These were representatives from the CBJ Foundation as well as the Tseng Family Foundation and they were visiting SIT for the first time. The two foundations had made possible the CBJ Foundation Scholarship as well as the Tseng Family Foundation Scholarship at SIT – through The Community Foundation of Singapore – to support academically talented undergraduates with demonstrated leadership qualities.
The CBJ Foundation Scholarship will nurture undergraduates pursuing a degree under SIT’s InfoComm Technology Cluster, whereas the Tseng Family Foundation Scholarship will support undergraduates pursuing a degree under the Health & Social Sciences Cluster. Both named Scholarships (valued at $10,000 each) will be awarded from this Academic Year 2021/22 onwards.
“As a young university, SIT is both encouraged and inspired by the support from the CBJ Foundation and the Tseng Foundation. The impact of the Foundations’ philanthropic commitment will nurture future professionals and leaders, and generate a positive multiplier effect for the industry and the community in the years to come,” said Prof Tan Thiam Soon, President, SIT.
Representatives from The Community Foundation of Singapore and Sim Mong Teck & Partners were also present for the visit where the guests toured some of SIT’s teaching and learning facilities at SIT@Dover.
