The Master of Engineering Technology in Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Land) is a 60-credit postgraduate programme for working professionals who are seeking to be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and/or Professional Engineer (PE).
This programme is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for consideration for CEng and PE (Mechanical) in Singapore and the United Kingdom. This programme is tailored to working professionals. Classes are conducted on weekday evenings.
Programme Educational Objectives
Graduates of the Master of Engineering Technology (MEngTech) programme, after working for 5 years, are expected to be:
- Competent in solving complex problems in land transport engineering through the application of critical thinking and relevant up-to-date technical skills and knowledge.
- Able to embrace challenges and opportunities by adapting to changes in technology and business environment through lifelong professional development.
- Able to communicate effectively, act with integrity, and have the interpersonal skills to lead and nurture teams resulting in transformative outcomes.
- Able to serve the community with due consideration of health and safety, societal, and environmental aspects.

The programme specialises in Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Land) with emphasis on Railway Engineering and Total Preventative Maintenance.

Curriculum Structure
All classes are conducted on weekday evenings. You are required to complete the eight coursework modules and a capstone project in order to graduate.

Eligibility
Applicants must possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- At least one year of post bachelor’s working experience in a related field (including SIT’s Integrated Work Study Programme).
