Veronica Wong is the Deputy Director of Admissions at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
She has twenty years of experience in the educational sector, and has worked in both the polytechnic and the university setting. Her passion lies in guiding students through their admissions journey. In particular, she finds it very fulfilling to witness the transformation of lives, and the uplifting of families through access to a good university education.
When it comes to looking for the right students, SIT takes a holistic approach in our admissions. This means that we consider applicants more broadly than just focusing on grades. In our selection, we actively look for evidence of passion and an aptitude for the area of study in our prospective students. Shortlisted applicants are assessed via an interview. Based on their performance in our aptitude-based assessments, SIT will admit students who are the best fit. Listen to the talk to find out how you can stand out in the selection process. Veronica will be sharing her insights on "The ins and outs of holistic admissions" and "Tips on how to stand out in the aptitude-based selection process".
