Microsoft YouthSpark Scholarship

The IAC was conceptualised as part of the iN2015 Masterplan, by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), to provide accessible IT Training to bridge the digital divide for people with disabilities, including those with physical, sensory, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Microsoft YouthSpark Scholarship seeks to nurture and develop candidates who demonstrate excellent academic credentials, strong leadership potential, and a passion for creativity, higher learning and innovation.


  • The applicant must be admitted to one of SIT’s relevant full-time undergraduate degree programme

  • The applicant must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident with a permanent disability

  • Good academic results which satisfy the admission criteria of the respective tertiary institutions as stated in the list of courses.

Scholarship Benefits

  • S$7,500 for tuition fees

  • S$750 for books and materials

  • S$3,000 for Special Assistance Fund

  • Maximum quantum of S$11,250 per academic year

  • NRIC or certified copies of PR citizenship

  • Medical certification for permanent disabilities Academic record and transcripts

  • Acceptance letter from the tertiary institution

  • CV  and/or resume / outstanding extra-curricular activities records / list of referees

  • Other records of personal achievements
