Academic Dress

If you are attending Graduation 2021 as a graduand, you are required to place an order of the academic dress with our official vendor, Serangoon Broadway, between 18 to 31 August 2021.

Please log in via Serangoon Broadway’s website to order:

  1. Click ‘Login’ at the top right-hand corner of the page.
  2. Log in with the ceremony code. More details are available in the attachments when you register your attendance via IN4SIT.

You may choose to make an appointment for the academic dress collection:

  • Immediately after the submission of the academic dress order form
  • OR
  • At a convenient time by logging in again. Do note that the booking of appointments is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Collection of 
Academic Dress

After making an appointment with Serangoon Broadway, you are required to collect your academic dress, Graduand Admission Card and Guest Invitation Cards between 28 September to 17 October 2021.

During the collection of your academic dress, you are required to place a refundable security deposit and pay for the rental of your dress.

Rental Fee for Academic Dress: S$35.00
Refundable Security Deposit: S$150.00


Return of 
Academic Dress

After the ceremony, you are reminded to return your rented academic dress to Serangoon Broadway between 28 October to 7 November 2021.

Your deposit with Serangoon Broadway will be refunded when your academic dress is returned during this period and in good condition*.

Should your academic dress be returned after this period or not found to be in good condition*, your deposit will be forfeited.

*An academic dress is deemed to be in "good condition" if there are no cuttings/alterations of any kinds, burns, tears, rips in fabric, holes on velvet or satin, discolourations, irremovable stains, scotch tape marks, damaged or missing buttons/tassel or dented mortar boards.

Types of Academic Dress

The SIT Bachelor Academic Dress bears SIT’s colours. It comprises a black gown with red and white trimmings, and a traditional mortarboard with a black tassel. The hood corresponds to your field of study.

The SIT Master Academic Dress bears SIT’s colours. It comprises a black gown with red and white trimmings, and a traditional mortarboard with a black tassel. The long oblong hood corresponds to your field of study.
