Ceremony Day

For the safety and well-being of graduands and guests, the following Safe Management Measures will be put in place:

  1. Temperature screening
  2. SafeEntry check-in
  3. Pre-event COVID-19 Testing
  4. Staggered registration and entry timing
  5. Allocated seating with safe distancing
  6. Wearing of masks throughout the ceremony

SIT will monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and provide updates through graduands' SIT email and on our website.

Prior to the Ceremony

Graduands are reminded to complete the following:

  1. Submit details of your guests
  2. Collect your graduand admission card and guest invitation cards from Serangoon Broadway.
  3. Arrange for yourself and your guests to take a COVID-19 test.

Arriving at the Ceremony

For safe distancing, the entry times for graduands and guests will be staggered. Graduands are to be properly robed before proceeding with registration and screening. All graduands and guests are required to:

  1. Undergo Temperature Screening;
  2. Complete SafeEntry check-in to the venue;
  3. Present an admission or invitation card;
  4. Present a negative COVID-19 test result; test must be taken within 24 hours prior to ending time of the ceremony; and
  5. Present a photo ID, such as matriculation card, identity card, passport or drivers license for verification.

Individuals without admission or invitation cards will not be allowed entry.

Please note that food, drinks, balloons and flowers are not permitted in the venue. Bag checks will be conducted prior to admission.


Graduands and guests will be seated separately in zones, with no more than 50 individuals in each zone. All graduands are to be seated by 9:30 am, 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm for the respective morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

Ushers will direct guests to the seats on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation of seats is not allowed. All guests are to be seated at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Guests who are late will only be permitted entry at a suitable juncture in the ceremony.

During the ceremony

Graduation is a formal and solemn ceremony. Please be reminded to accord due respect to the presenter and the Ceremonial Procession throughout the ceremony, especially when you are on stage.

Photographs of the graduands will be taken by the official photographers. The photo gallery of the ceremony photos taken throughout the ceremony will be available on Serangoon Broadway's website from 3 March 2021 onwards.

Please refrain from leaving the Theatre until the end of the ceremony.

End of Ceremony

Graduates and guests will be ushered to exit the venue by zones after the ceremony ends. Please do not mingle or gather in groups and proceed to leave the venue.
