The Choo Chiau Beng Bursary was established to benefit worthy but financially disadvantaged full-time undergraduates, preferably in the field of engineering at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and particularly in the area of Naval Architecture.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Students enrolled in any full-time undergraduate degree programme offered by the Institute, preferably in the field of engineering and in particularly in the area of Naval Architecture
Household Per Capita Income (PCI) less than or equal to S$1,000
Good academic results
Good performance at selection interview
Each bursary is valued at S$5,000 and is tenable for one Academic Year.
The bursary will be used to fund the recipient’s educational expenses, such as tuition fees and other study-related expenses.
Those who have been awarded the Choo Chiau Beng Bursary before may apply again for it again after their bursary has expired, subject to the applicant continuing to meet the selection eligibility criteria.
No bond is required of the recipient.
