DBS Scholarship

The DBS Scholarship was established to support deserving students pursuing any full-time Infocomm Technology undergraduate degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Applicable to first-year students who are pursuing a full-time Infocomm Technology degree programme offered by the Institute.
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
  • Have achieved outstanding academic results as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine.
  • Have made significant contributions beyond academic studies to the Institute or the community.
  • Have a monthly Per Capita Income (PCI) less than or equal to $2,250.

Tenure and Benefits of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship, valued at $25,000, is applicable for one (1) academic year.
  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for study trips and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
  • The Recipient who has already been awarded the Scholarship in his/her first year of study will receive the Scholarship in his/her subsequent years of study, until the 4 years of study are completed.
  • If any Recipient prematurely withdraws from or terminates his/her enrolment in the undergraduate programme, or if any Recipient ceases to meet the selection criteria before or after receiving the Scholarship, the Institute shall have full discretion to transfer or re-offer the Scholarship to another Recipient.
  • The Recipient may be offered an Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) opportunity with the Donor.
  • The Recipient may be given the opportunity to receive an offer of a permanent role from the Donor upon graduation.
  • Recipients of this Scholarship may not accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
