Choo-Lim Scholarship

The Choo-Lim Scholarship has been established in support of deserving full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria

Are enrolled in any full-time undergraduate degree programme offered by the Institute.
Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
Have achieved good academic results.
Demonstrated leadership skills and character.
Preference will be given to undergraduates with demonstrated financial need.

Tenure and Benefits of Scholarship

Each Scholarship is valued at $8,000 each and is tenable for one Academic Year.
The Scholarship shall be used for the Recipients’ educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, or fees for overseas study trips or educational activities organised by the Institute.
Recipients who have already been awarded the Scholarship for one year of study may apply to receive and be considered for the Scholarship in subsequent years, subject to the fulfillment of the selection criteria and the selection by the Selection Committee.
No bond is required of the recipient.

About the Donor

This Scholarship has been made possible with a gift from Mr Choo Chiau Beng, who wishes to empower talented and deserving undergraduates to make the most of a quality education at SIT.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
