The Ireland Funds (Singapore) OIP Grant

The Ireland Funds (Singapore) Overseas Immersion Programme Grant was established to provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) so that they may gain valuable education experience from an Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP) in Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree programme offered at the Institute that requires them to participate in an OIP in Ireland

  • Singapore Citizens

  • Household Per Capita Income (PCI) less than or equal to S$850

  • Have satisfactory academic results and exemplary character record

  • Good performance at selection interview

Tenure and Benefits of the Grant:

  • Each grant is valued at S$6,000.

  • The grant will be used to fund the recipient’s expenses for the Overseas Immersion Programme conducted in Ireland.

  • No bond is required of the recipient.

About the Donor

The Grant has been made possible with a gift from The Ireland Funds (Singapore), which is dedicated to facilitating and helping to fund projects that will further develop and deepen the Singapore-Ireland relationship and deliver long-term benefits to the people of Singapore from their long established relationship with Ireland. The scope of these projects and development sectors include community relations, education, the arts, culture and sport.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students are to submit their Financial Aid application via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT. Do note that students are to connect to the SIT VPN before accessing IN4SIT. 

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form and upload all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline.
