Deputy President (Campus Development) & Chief Investment Officer

Mr Chan Wing Leong is the Deputy President (Campus Development) and Chief Investment Officer of Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).
Prior to this, he was the Deputy President (Administration) and Chief Financial Officer, and was responsible for the resourcing and service support needs of SIT covering the functions of finance, investments, legal, real estate, information technology, human resources and libraries.
Mr Chan graduated with honours in Economics from the University of Singapore in 1981. He joined the Administrative Service in the Ministry for Trade and Industry and then worked with Ministry of Defence companies and the Economic Development Board from 1983 to 1987.
From 1988 to 1995, Mr Chan was an investment banker at Schroders PLC and Bankers Trust Corp in both Singapore and Hong Kong. He returned to Singapore from Hong Kong in 1995 as CFO and President of New Businesses of SembCorp Ltd.
At SembCorp, he held concurrent positions as Chairman of SembMedia, SembFoods, Pacific Internet and Delifrance, and was a Board member of Jurong Shipyard Limited. Mr Chan was Executive Chairman and CEO of EasyCall Limited from 2001 to 2002 before becoming a private investor with stints on the boards of companies on the Singapore Stock Exchange and in NTUC. In 2009, Mr Chan was appointed as CFO at the Singapore Institute of Technology, and from 2012, was appointed Deputy President (Administration).
Mr Chan is currently a board director of Sakae Holdings Ltd and NTUC Link Pte Ltd.
