The Mapletree Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation. The theme for 2020 is Reimagining Sustainability for Improving Our World.

By attending The Forum, participants will get to learn trade secrets from a panel of top entrepreneurs. All project teams should attend because the 12 semi-finalists for The Mapletree Challenge competition will also be announced.

Mr Mandeep Chopra
Founder and Managing Director

Being born into a family with a rich sporting goods background and having a keen interest in sports made it a natural progression for Mandeep to join the family business, which has been providing sporting goods to generations of Singaporeans since 1949. As the third generation of this family legacy, he has evolved and transformed the family business from general sporting goods stores to speciality stores catering to football, basketball, running, skate, fitness and lifestyle products with well-known names like Weston and Limited Edt. A keen interest in creating concepts, design and events has kept his passion for the business alive. Mandeep is also one of the founding partners of the yearly Culture Cartel street culture event, which just finished its second instalment in December 2019.

Founder & CEO

Prashant is the founder of blu, an emerging Singapore-based company specialising in retail logistics technology. He introduced blu when he noticed a glaring inertia in the way shopping items are fulfilled and delivered. By providing end-to-end retail logistics solutions and establishing one of the largest parcel terminal networks in Singapore, blu revolutionises retail logistics, bringing greater convenience and savings to retailers and consumers.

As CEO & Managing Director of 6 companies - FoodXervices Inc Pte Ltd, Groxers Inc Pte Ltd, LogiXtics Inc Pte Ltd, PlotX Inc Pte Ltd, X Properties Pte Ltd & X – Inc Pte Ltd, Nichol is responsible for sales, marketing, customer service, human resource, finance, business development and everything in between. Nichol has also taken it upon herself to innovate and lead the way for the peers in the wholesale trade by experimenting with various tech and payment solutions, newer alternative products, collaborations and any ideas that can help the industry to progress as a whole.

Mr Uantchern Loh
Black Sun Asia Pacific

Uantchern Loh is currently the CEO, Asia Pacific for Black Sun, a stakeholder communications company.  He has extensive expertise in advising businesses on various aspects of sustainability, including the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework. He also consults on how innovators and entrepreneurs may engage their various stakeholders for mutual benefit and positive societal impact. Uantchern serves on advisory boards for the accounting programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology, and he is an adjunct professor of business with the Singapore University of Social Sciences.  At the same time, he volunteers on the boards of three charities: Securities Investors Association (Singapore), Kidney Dialysis Foundation and Shared Services for Charities.


Dr Victor Cole
Assistant Professor
Singapore Institute of Technology

Dr. Victor Cole is an assistant professor with the Centre for Communication Skills at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). He trained in English education at Oxford University and bioethics at Monash University, and currently, he teaches interpersonal communication, technical communication and ethics. He is on SIT’s organizing committee for The Mapletree Challenge.
