Financial Assistance - Bursaries

Eligibility

• Full-time subsidised Singapore Citizens (SC) pursuing their first MOE-subsidised undergraduate degrees (i.e not already holding the same or higher qualifications than the level they are pursuing).
• SC students with non-accredited diplomas or A-Level certification who are pursuing their first MOE-subsidised undergraduate degrees and are required to take bridging/top-up modules.
• Gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) of less than or equal to S$850
• Recipient may not concurrently hold another scholarship or the MOE Bursary

• Gross income refers to the amount before deduction of CPF. It includes allowances, overtime, commissions etc.

Quantum

• S$2,900 per award per annum
• Bursary is tenable on a yearly basis

Repayment

• Not required.

Application Procedure

1. Students who wish to apply for the CDC/CCC-University Bursary are required to complete the CDC/CCC Application Form found in the Student Portal.
2. The completed form should be submitted to the Student Services Division for endorsement, together with the relevant supporting documents (such as a copy of the student's identification card and salary slips of household members)
3. Successful applicants will be contacted to collect their endorsed application forms from the Student Services Division.
4. Applicants must submit their endorsed application forms to the Community Club nearest their home.

• Students receiving the bursary must not concurrently hold other scholarships and bursaries.

• For Gross monthly household per capita income  < $1,200, bursary quantum is $2,150 per annum
• For Gross monthly household per capita income > $1,200 and < $1,700, bursary quantum is $800 per annum
• Bursary is tenable on a yearly basis

Repayment

• Not required.

1. Students who wish to apply for the MOE Bursary are required to complete the MOE Bursary Application Form found in the Student Portal.
2. Students will need to print and submit the application form, checklist, declaration form and relevant supporting documents to the Student Services Division.
3. For new students, the bursary application form can only be obtained after the receipt of the matriculation number.

A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the donors.

The 孝德 (Xiao De) Bursary provides financial assistance to full-time undergraduates in any degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology.  Through this bursary, donors of the 孝德 (Xiao De) Bursary hope to perpetuate the philanthropic spirit of giving and to encourage the concept of “paying it forward” amongst its community of bursary recipients.

10 bursaries will be awarded in Academic Year 2011/12.

Eligibility

• Full-time SIT undergraduates
• Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents who are Malaysian Citizens
• Demonstrate financial neediness
• Recipient may not concurrently hold another scholarship or bursary

Quantum

• The bursary, valued at $5,000 each, is tenable for one year only.

Repayment

• Not required.

1. Students who wish to apply for the 孝德(Xiao De) Bursary are required to complete the 孝德 (Xiao De) Bursary application form found in the Student Portal.
2. Students will need to print and submit the application form, checklist, declaration form and relevant supporting documents to the Student Services Division within the application period.
