SIT was established in 2009 as an initiative by the Ministry of Education to provide upgrading opportunities primarily for polytechnic graduates.
Applicants, regardless of nationality, should present a Diploma from one of the following Polytechnics in Singapore in order to be eligible for consideration:
Final Semester Polytechnic students may apply for admission with their first five semester’s results within the stipulated timeframe. Students would be required to upload their 6th semester result upon receiving it as proof that they have graduated from their diploma courses.
Former or current students of National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU) or Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) seeking admission may also apply.
SIT adopts a holistic approach in assessing applicants for admission by considering the following criteria:
SIT accepts applications from polytechnic graduates who have not offered the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Levels and have come through other forms of secondary or post-secondary education.
SIT’s overseas university partners may have additional admission requirements. Applicants must refer to the list below to ensure that all additional requirements are met in order to be considered for admission.
